If you have time, walk along Klostergatan, the "food street" where you're bound to find something for your tastes. Options include a cheese shop, international food, fine dining and cafés. There are also several restaurants mentioned in the White Guide (the Scandinavian equivalent of a Michelin guide), where you can enjoy well-prepared dishes in luxurious surroundings.

Call the restaurant in advance if they don't offer a complete vegetarian or vegan menu, and they will be sure to help you. If you want to shop organic and locally produced foods, visit one of the municipality's several farm shops. You can even catch your own fish at some of them.
